Hello 870 Bills Fans,

Yes, that’s right. 870. We’re taking the city over by storm! “Little Buffalo” isn’t so little anymore!

Sunday is do or die time for the surging Bills. They go up against the 14-1 Steelers, who have their playoff situation all locked up. Will the Steelers come out in full force? Well that’s been a debate in the press lately. Some say yes, while others say they’ll rest their starters. Either way, the Bills D is on a tear, the offense is producing, and the playoffs are in reach. The Steelers better beware!!!

The Bills playoff fate isn’t solely in the Bills hands though! Yes they have to win, but the win must be accompanied by EITHER a Jets or Broncos loss.

Jets vs. Rams
The Jets are playing the Rams at 1pm in St. Louis. The Rams playoff hopes are still alive, which means they’re going to put up a fight. Will the “greatest show on turf” live up to their name? Did Kyle Turley’s death threat to Coach Martz scare him straight? Since this game if so crucial, we plan to show it on a few TVs! There will be signage to let you know which TVs will be showing this game.

Colts vs. Broncos
The Broncos are playing the Colts at 4:15pm in Denver. Like the Steelers, the Colts have their playoff situation all locked up. It’ll remain to be seen if they’ll make a game of this or just rest up for the playoffs, although Coach Dungy recently told the Indy Star, “We’re going out there to win. I would like to win No. 13. We’d like to go into the playoffs with a nine-game winning streak. There are a lot of things that we want to do in terms of keeping that momentum and continuing to be sharp.”

Hopefully the Rams will have helped seal our playoff berth by this time, but if not, we’ll surely get this game on the tubes.

We urge you to get to McFadden’s early if you would like a seat at the bar or the tables. Doors open at 11:30. We expect a big crowd.

Hello all 865 Bills fans!

Can they be stopped? The Bills have now won 9 of their last 11 including the last 6 games, rocketing them into the top of the playoff race! The Bills got a TON of help with Ravens and Jaguars losing their games yesterday.

This Sunday, the Bills take on the #1 seed Pittsburg Steelers at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Steelers have nothing left to play for, and several key players (including Big Ben) will not be playing. It’s hard to believe, but they will make the playoffs if they beat the Steelers and either Denver Broncos or the NY Jets lose. Basically, we need to root for the Colts and the Rams!

Hello all 858 Bills fans!

Considering most people have off on Friday and many have tomorrow off as well, you have the reward of hearing from me a day early! How great is it that the Dolphins embarrassed the Patriots the other night??? Can you believe our Buffalo Bills are in the middle of a playoff run at Christmas???

The Bills travel to San Francisco on Christmas to battle the 49ers Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at 4:05 EST, so the specials will run from 3:05 to 8:05pm. McFadden’s will open its doors at noon, so feel free to come early and catch the Steelers/Ravens and Texans/Jaguars games at 1pm. If the Steelers win, not only will they NOT need to beat us in the last game and will likely play their backups, they will also knock the Ravens behind us in the playoff race! We also need the Texans to beat the Jaguars, badly.

Due to the number of RSVP’s, we feel we’ll have a crowd of around 75 diehard fans, so McFadden’s will have a skeleton staff working. If need be, Matt Soreco and I will be running beers (and chugging a few on the way!)

Steelers Game
I’m heading to WNY for New Years and the Steelers game. I am looking for 4 tickets together on the lower level. If I get a hold of those, I will have my two season tickets to sell. Basically, if you have 4 seats and only need 2, I’d love to exchange. Please email me!

Kootsie Ball
For those of you that will be in Buffalo for New Year’s Eve, I will be heading to a party recommended by NYCBBB member Burt Flickinger and Assemblyman Sam Hoyt called the Kootsie Ball. It looks like a lot of fun, and will probably cost you a third what it would to attend a similar party in NYC. Check out their website for more details.

WOW! 5 wins in a row! The Bills are even featured on the front page of ESPN.com this morning!

In regards to this Sunday, the Bills play the 49ers in San Francisco at 4pm EST. McFadden’s WILL be open and Matt and I will be there. However, due to the fact that it’s Christmas weekend, the bar may only have a skeleton staff. I am asking for those of you that plan to attend this Sunday to RSVP to me BY TONIGHT so I can get an estimate of how many Bills fans will be in the bar this weekend.

If you are coming, please reply to this email with a ‘Hell Yeah!’ and the # of guests attending with you. We will decide tomorrow how much staff will be needed. You may even see ME running beers!

Bills Fans in the Middle East
NYCBBB staff-member Michelle Girardi raised $350 and several care packages for our fellow Bills fans serving over in the Middle East. Michelle has been in contact with the U.S. Army Reserve 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion in Buffalo, who has several soldiers currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The money will be used to purchase all sorts of items the soldiers need. Thanks to all of you that contributed!

My name is Michelle Girardi and I am a columnist for the NYC Buffalo Bills Backers. Just a couple of things to mention before the Bills win their fifth game in a row this weekend!

We are expecting a big crowd this weekend at McFadden’s, so it will be a great opportunity for another good-will initiative on behalf of NYCBBB.

As you all know, thousands of our men and women are serving overseas this holiday season while we have the privilege of staying home, watching the Bills and being with our loved ones. So NYCBBB is going to assemble some care packages to send to other Bills fans overseas, and we’d love your help.

If you want to contribute, stop by the staff booth at the Bungles game this Sunday. You can either donate money or something along the lines of the following:

• a card or letter
• Bills memorabilia (football, flag, banner, shirt)
• Cashews
• Peanut butter
• Trail Mix
• Coffee
• Beef Jerky
• DVD
• unscented moisturizer
• microwave popcorn

Also, if anyone has a particular soldier or group of soldiers in mind to send a package to, please let me know. If not, we will make sure all packages go to Bills fans. Anything we hear back from our “adopted Buffalo Bills soldiers” will be posted on the Web site. Thanks for your help guys!

Hello all 844 Bills fans!

Takeo is fired up for this game, Western New York is fired up for this game, and all Bills fans in NYC are fired up for this game! Spikes leads his fellow Buffalo Bills to Cincinnati this Sunday to do what he never had an opportunity to do in his tenure there, fight for a spot in the NFL playoffs! Also making their return to Cincinnati are Coaches Sam Wyche, Jim McNally, and Tim Krumrie. QB Carson Palmer is out, which leaves backup Jon Kitna as the Bengals starter. Also, the Bengals starting center is out, which means Pat Williams and Sam Adams are licking their chops!

The game will not be on local television, so come on down to McFadden’s and root on our team with hundreds of fellow Bills fans! Since the start of NYCBBB, we have never been this close to the playoffs, so expect to feel an electricity you won’t find anywhere else. McFadden’s opens around 11:30, specials run from 12-5pm, and kickoff is at 1pm. Be there!

Oh boy! I’m getting really fired up right now!

Calico Jacks
Last week, Calico’s was open and the place was a ghost town. Therefore, we have decided NOT to open it this weekend. If you want a seat, I suggest getting to McFadden’s BEFORE 11:30. I have asked for additional staff at the bar to make sure people are served in a timely manner.

Christmas
Since this is the last game before Christmas, we encourage you to come dressed for the holiday. I want to see a ton of Santa hats out there! I know I’ll have one on!

Hello all!

In the words of Van Miller, “Can you believe it???”

After holding the Browns to 17 total yards, the Bills have fought back from an 0-4 start to go 7-6 and above .500 in December for the first time in 5 years! Sitting there in the SNOW this Sunday watching our dominating defense de-humanize the Browns, I felt an electricity in Ralph Wilson Stadium that I haven’t felt in years. Western New York is fired up, and we should be too!

The Bills take on a very tough Bengals team in Cincinnati this Sunday at 1pm. This game has been circled on the calendar for a few weeks now as it’s the most challenging road game left this season (until the playoffs.) Both teams are playing for their playoff lives, and it’s expected to be one hell of a shootout. Come to McFadden’s to root on the most exciting and dominating Bills team in years!

Also, it will be NYCBBB’s official Christmas/Holiday bash so come in your Santa hats, Christmas ties, or anything else Holiday related you might own.

Hello all!!

Just a quick email as I am off to JFK Airport for my flight to Western New York to see the Bills kick the crap out of the Browns on Sunday! My hands are shaking as I type this due to my excitement! I’m fired up!

Why? A win puts us at 7-6 and right in the thick of the playoff hunt! We got a lot of help from other teams losing last weekend and our chances are better than ever!

Matt Soreco is expecting a huge crowd this weekend at McFadden’s as we’re fighting for a playoff spot and the game can only be seen on DirecTV.

We have just confirmed with the bar that:

1) There will be plenty of staff
2) There will be plenty of BEER
3) The wings will be of better quality and in good quantity
4) Calico Jacks WILL be open for overflow with the specials available over there and the Bills games on the tv’s with sound!

The game is on at 1PM and snow is expected at The Ralph! Come out down to McFadden’s/Calicos to support our Buffalo Bills as they continue their uphill quest for the playoffs!
