Squish the Fish & Guess for Good

Hello all,

This week’s game is at 4:25. I’ve been meaning for YEARS to write up some of my favorite NYCBBB moments over the last 13 years. One funny one has to be some guy running into McFadden’s at 1, looking around with a panicked look on his face, and asking me anxiously if it was still a Bills bar. “YES! But the game’s at 4 today.” PHEW.

So I’m getting out an early week e-mail as McFadden’s let me know:
“For this sun 4:25 game, McFadden’s will be taking reservations for 3pm. Max per party 6 people. Entire table must be onsite by 3:25 or table goes to waiting list. Reservation can be made starting Tuesday 9/22 at 12 noon.” Call 212-986-1515.

Remember, as far as the specials go:

  • All specials are from one (1) hour before the game until the end of the game.

Guess for Good!
Longtime member Joel Peterson launched a new venture that brings fun to fundraising. As his site puts it “Experience the fun of playing a game, the hope of winning a prize, and the gratification of helping a good cause.” This week’s challenge will benefit our good friends at Brian Moorman’s PUNT Foundation. To learn more about the game, PUNT Foundation, and to PLAY the game, visit: https://guessforgood.com/game/offensive-yards-for-punt/

Time to squish the fish!

Brady is Dead Meat, We Need You, and more

Hello all,

This is gonna be a long e-mail. So much stuff we have to get out there.

I don’t like talking much about upcoming games in fear of being a jinx. All I’ll say is that I’m looking forward to this one.

Nice Threads from Great Lakes Loyalty

Help NYCBBB get with this Millennium
We’re calling on volunteers to help document the nycbbb experience. We used to have photos from almost every game – https://www.nycbbb.com/pictures/. We can tell by our stats that people loved them. So… Does anyone want to:

  • Take charge of an nycbbb Instagram account?
  • Submit photos? Help find an easy way to submit, curate, display in a gallery, etc.
  • Maybe take some videos? Crowd reactions? Dare I suggest interviews? We know a few of our crowd reaction videos got media attention and once prompted a radio interview of our very own Matt Kabel. Another was featured on https://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/09/16/must-see-bills-fan-reaction-around-the-country/ . Others got retweets from the likes of Eric Wood!

MOAR! We want to be everywhere. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Vine, Instagram. What am I missing? As always, we also welcome ideas.

Speaking of t-shirts
We might have our very own NYCBBB t-shirts coming soon. We got some designs in the works. Anyone have any advice on how best to sell the bad boys? I’m thinking something like CafePress. But I want to keep costs/prices down, but have convenient, fast, and worry free fulfillment.

London
Is anyone planning on going to London for the Jacksonville game? What’s your plans? Who you getting together with across the pond? If there is something going on there (tailgate, etc)? I’d like to help spread the right info.

Jets Tickets
It’s not too late to get tickets for Jets game at MetLife. Please let me know if you have trouble ordering! A few have had trouble–which could have been due to Internet Explorer. Let me know if the problems were resolved.

Are you ready for some football!?

Hello 2,252 of you,

Well, are you ready to get things going?

Bills are home this Sunday at 1pm against Indy.

Welcome to anyone new. Welcome back to everyone else! I’m simply putting out all the info and links you need.

I do ask one favor! Please spread the word. We’ve been hovering at this 2,200 mark for far too long. I remember the days we celebrated after adding every 100 more to our list. I want 2,800 by the end of the season!

A View from NYCBBB:
Read Phil’s first column of the year. In deciding to skip writing an entire offseaon recap, he boldly predicted “And I won’t even try to capture everything as it stands right now, either…because it’ll change before I even finish typing this” And… The Bills extended Dareus right after Phil hit the publish button! Literally 3 seconds later.* Read it here:

Bills at Jets, Tailgate on November 12, Get Tickets Now!

Hello all,

How’s everyone doing? Excited about the upcoming season?

It’s never too early to start planning our yearly MetLife tailgate!

The Jets have set us up with group rates once again. And why shouldn’t they? We bought almost 600 tickets last year!

Here are the details:

Gametime:
Thursday, November 12, 2015  at 8:25pm

Ticket link:

Code to enter:
BACKERS15

This year they are offering us 3 ticket price points:

  • Upper Endzone tickets for $50 (face value of $60)
  • Upper Corner/Sideline for $65 (face value of $95)
  • Upper Sideline/Prime for $75 (face value of $110)

!!!Parking passes are not available yet. They will be available for $25 per parking pass. I will let you know when they are available for sale. They can be purchased separately!!!

You will be able to purchase up to 8 tickets directly through the link.

If you need more than 8, please give Brian Aiello at the Jets a call at 973.549.4883. He will reserve the seats so they are together.

We WILL be having a tailgate again. More details will come nearer the date, but here are some if you are curious:

  • Tailgate location – Lot 26 next to the IZOD Center, near pole A.
  • Everyone is invited to attend. No extra fees to attend tailgate.
  • If you are driving, you’ll need a parking pass.
  • If you are not driving, you can still come to the location.
  • It’s bring your own food and drinks.
  • The bar supplies some beer, but it goes very quickly.
  • More info will be posted here as the date approaches:
    https://www.nycbbb.com/notes/bills-jets-tailgate-info-2/

Of course if you buy tickets they will be together. I got a lot of questions last year about how our entire group of seats are spread out. Here is some info from Brian himself:

“Depending on the timing of everything is where it can sometimes get spread out. For example with last year, the first say 250-300 people that bought were all in the same sections and pretty tightly grouped together. Once we started going over where we thought the group would be #’s wise it started to get a little more scattered, and with orders closer to the game they were likely a little further apart.

This year, since we are early and internally we’ve been able to coordinate the group seating a little better, I think we can keep the group even tighter grouped.”

I hope you are all enjoying this offseason!

See and Cheer For Rex at Charity Softball Game

Hello all,

Thank you Ray S for sending this info my way!

Rex Ryan will be playing in a charity softball game at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday June 3 at 8pm. It would be GREAT if we showed up in numbers and showed Rex some NYCBBB love! It looks like a great event for a great cause.

Here is all the info:
http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/ticketing/true_blue_softball.jsp

On Wednesday, June 3, WFAN/Boomer & Carton and the New York Yankees will host a celebrity softball game to show their appreciation for the NYPD and honor the memories of slain officers Brian Moore, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, all recently killed in the line of duty.

The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Yankee Stadium and will be broadcast on WFAN. General admission tickets are available for just $12 per ticket. Net ticket proceeds will benefit the Silver Shield Foundation, the Widows’ and Children’s Fund, and the families of Moore, Ramos and Liu.

Quik Park and the Bronx Parking Development Corporation will offer parking at the reduced rate of $8 at their lots surrounding the Stadium. Lots will open 2 hours prior to the event and remain open for 1 hour after the event concludes.

2015 Draft Day Party, 14th Year!

Man, what an offseason.

Yes, there will be a draft party (parties) this year! Our 14th one. Bummer the Bills have no first round pick this year. Still, you can come hang out with friends and see other teams make or break their roster. Who knows what Whaley has up his sleeve. A trade into the first round?

We’ll offer these two options both Thursday 4/30 and Friday 5/1 from 7-11PM:

  1. Free wristband good for $3 domestic AND import drafts, including Labatt Blue (we have a bunch of new imports and micro-brews–we actually added 5 draft lines) AND half priced mixed drinks (top shelf)
  2. Pay $15 at the door, good for unlimited chicken wings (by the order) and also receive the same drink special above ($3 all drafts, half priced top shelf mixed drinks)

For Saturday, 5/2 @ 12pm. Our regular drink special:
https://www.nycbbb.com/features/drink-specials-times/

Hope you are all enjoying the offseason!
