BOO!!!

That scared the crap out of ya huh?? Happy Halloween!

Well, its a bye weekend for our beloved Bills. I’m sure we’ve been trashing them all week, which they deserved, but now its time to back them up. We’re 4-4, only 2 games out of first place, and Williams knows that its time to put up or shut up. McFadden’s WILL be offering the 12-6 special on Sunday if anybody is interested in catching the other games there.

CBS Sports
I am still waiting to hear from CBS Sports about them filming us next weekend. I know they are filming in Buffalo this coming week, so they should be in touch soon and I will let you know.

Charlie the Butcher!
I received an email from Charlie the Butcher yesterday. He will be in town next weekend, Friday through Tuesday, and will be at the Alto-Shaam Booth at the New York Restaurant show at the Javits Center.

ALSO…Charlie the Butcher said he would like to watch the Bills take on the Cowboys at McFadden’s, and volunteered to teach me to make beef-on-weck!!!! If the logistics work out, we’ll be eating beef-on-weck Charlie the Butcher style next weekend!!!

Buffalo Bills Documentary
Member Aaron Hejmowski has informed me that on Tuesday Nov. 4th at 4:30am on ESPN is the NFL Films special which was initially entitled: “Buffalo: A Town, A Team, and A Dream.” Be sure to check it out!

Hello all 600 Bills fans!

Remember how Matt got a phone call from Drew’s dad, Mac Bledsoe? Well, I was walking home to get some lunch yesterday and saw I had a voice mail. Ends up it was from Mac Bledsoe! He said he had good news and would call me later. So all day…I sat there watching my cell phone (also trying to figure out how he got my number) and finally after last night’s MNF kickoff he called!

First, he apologized for calling after such a crappy game, but then assured me that “Drew and the guys are going to turn this all around…don’t you worry!”

He then got down to business. He spoke to Matt S. a few weeks ago and said that CBS Sports will be doing a special on The Drew Bledsoe Foundation and how they sent autographed balls out to all of the Backers around the country to raise money. For the special, which will air after Christmas, they wanted to film one of the Backers, and we were one of the potential ones! Well, Mac Bledsoe informed me last night that NYCBBB will indeed be the Bills Backers that will be featured in the story!

Details are still being worked out, but the TENTATIVE plans are this: For the 11/9 Dallas game, a CBS Sports film crew will be at McFadden’s filming us cheering for our Bills. At Halftime, we will raffle off the Drew Bledsoe autographed ball and chances are, they will take footage of the winner receiving the ball that will appear on the special, as well as footage of all of us fanatics. Mac gave my number to the producers, so I should know more details soon and will let you know them when I do.

Alright…I’m giving you two weeks to make sure your Sunday, November 9th plans are to be at McFadden’s. I want to pack the bar and show the city…hell..show the COUNTRY what we’re all about! Lets prove to the good ol’ USA who the best fans are!

Yeah…that was awful…I stopped watching after the 3rd quarter. Will this coaching staff ever learn to RUN THE BALL??? Passing on 2nd/3rd and goal on the 2 yard line when Travis Henry just plowed 60 yards to get us there. Ughhh…

Well…at least I’ve got some good news! The Buffalo News printed our story today! I think its good that he waited til today now being that Buffalonians will need something uplifting. What’s great is that it spits back in the face of Rob Johnson!

Hello all 600 of you!

So my trip to Buffalo was great! I got to drink Labatt Blue next to an open pit fire in the parking lot, check out Pinto Ron’s tailgate, see the Bills WIN, meet Coy Wire after the game, and the best part….do the WAVE in the 4th quarter!! My girlfriend of course loved the whole experience, but questioned why I was standing up screaming “BOOO!!” when Rob Johnson came in…

Buffalo News
I held off emailing you guys til today because I thought I would have some good news to share. The Buffalo News interviewed us about our Backers here in NYC and our love for Buffalo. It was going to be a positive piece about the city. A column was to appear today “unless something REALLY BIG happens.” So I check out the Buffalo News this morning and in place of our article, is a piece on the clown who went over Niagara Falls this week. If this is “big news” for Buffalo, I think we can all see why our city has gone downhill. Hopefully the piece will appear soon, as we all know Buffalo NEEDS to hear positive stories like ours.

Kansas City
I ordered plenty of Sahlen hot dogs which will be here by today. The specials will begin at 7pm and I suggest being there by then if you want a seat. The Chiefs are undefeated…but if anybody is going to upset them, its the Buffalo Bills!!!

We will also be showing the Baby Joe Mesi (fellow Buffalonian) fight from a few weeks ago at 7pm if we can figure out the VCR.

Drew Bledsoe Ball
OK…we never try to hit you guys up for cash, and the great specials that McFadden’s offers has saved us all a lot of money. Please help out the Drew Bledsoe Foundation by purchasing a raffle ticket to win a Nike football autographed by our own Drew Bledsoe. Tickets are $5, 3 for $10, 5 for $15 and can be purchased from Matt Soreco during the game. All proceeds go directly to the charity.

I have been receiving a lot of emails from you about Sunday night because IF there is a Game 7 of the World Series, will McFadden’s carry it? YES, we will make sure we have it on a TV or two. I will make sure that one of the TV’s at the bar has the game on, and will do my best to have one on in the dining room as long as none of the Bills fans sitting there mind. Special starts at 7 which is perfect if you want to bring any of your Yankee fan friends.

Redskins Game
Sunday is redemption time for the Bills. They have been in a bit of a funk. What better team to end the madness than against the Redskins? Remember!!! The game is on at 4:15! McFadden’s drink/wings special will run from 2pm to 8pm! I know I’ll be there early to watch some 1 o’clock action.

I couldn’t keep this one a secret any longer… I have an football signed by Drew Bledsoe that we are going to raffle off on 10/26 when we face the Chiefs. All money raised will go to the Drew Bledsoe Foundation and their Parenting with Dignity program. More details will be sent out soon!

Hello all 591 Bills fans! (almost 600!),

Yeah…that was an ugly game on Sunday….thank god I drank so much beer, so many bowling ball shots, and lots of Southern Comfort that I don’t remember most of it (ignore this sentence Mom!).

Good news though…Willis McGahee starts practice today!!! Of course, who knows if our coaching will know how to use him….(cough)….

Keg Problems
I apologize for the kegs not working well and for drinking warm foamy beer. The Co2 tank that McFadden’s sent was more empty than we thought and there’s not much we could do about it. Next time we’ll just do the old fashioned tap and ice instead of the fancy tap system!

World Wide Backers
I somehow got put on a list of all the contacts for the Backers around the world for some email. They forgot to BCC the list so people started emailing each other saying who they were! I got emails from Bills fans all over the country, and even got one from fans in Budapest!! We all realized we could get a lot done if we work together, so I said that we should start a message board for Bills Backers staff around the world on the official site. Once done, we could help our fans find tickets or other fans to watch the games with no matter where they go. I’ll let you know when this gets done!

Tailgate
AGAIN…we will be in Lot 16-C!! Be there by 1:00 if you plan on parking near us. I will be there by noon with the kegs and the party bus will be there around 12:30. If I am holding tix for any of you, I expect you there early so I can get rid of them and drink freely!

Hello all 575 Bills fans!

Man, I never thought this day would come! On Sunday I get to see our Bills live in action for the first time this season and I can’t wait! I’ll also be tailgating with over a 150 fellow Bills fans drinking kegs of Labatt Blue and doing shots out of the famous Pinto Ron bowling ball! Lets be honest here…does it get any better than this??? The game will STILL be shown at McFadden’s with the usual drink specials for those who can’t be there in person.

Tailgate
GREAT NEWS!!! Considering there will be a TON of us Bills fans at the tailgate, Labatt Blue has agreed to throw in ANOTHER keg of beer…so now we will have 3!!! Also, McFadden’s has been kind enough to throw in some dogs, chips, and pretzels along with the 6-foot SUB. The tailgating begins at NOON in LOT 16-C. Last year’s fans who arrived late did not get parking near us, so if you are driving I suggest getting there NO LATER than 1:00 if you want to be parked by fellow Bills fans.

Matt Soreco just emailed me in the middle of this and asked, “What do we do if it rains?”.

My reply, “Drink more”. True Bills fans will be there rain or shine!

The party bus is leaving McFadden’s at NOON sharp. The bus is filled, and if you’re supposed to be on it, make sure you are at McFadden’s by 11:45!

Redskins Game
The Redskins game next week has been moved from 1:00 to 4:15pm. Hope this doesn’t screw anybodies plans up. (Like mine since I am driving up for the game and now can’t have dinner with my Orchard Park relatives and will now be having brunch with them instead!!)

Drink Special
I was alerted by SEVERAL of you that the drink special has been stopped an hour early at 5pm the last two weekends. Matt and I left promptly after the Eagles game last week and were never made aware of the change. I apologize for this and will discuss it with McFadden’s’ management ASAP.

Jets Party Bus
As of now, the bus from McFadden’s to the Meadowlands is filled. I will email those who will be riding with us later today. No need to worry for those who didn’t make the cut, there is an express bus that goes from Port Authority to the Meadowlands:

Flag Returned!
I received an envelope yesterday with an anonymous note and the stolen flag! The note apologized and said the stolen flag was good luck for the Bills. Obviously it was! A cold beer still awaits the person with no hard feelings if they wish to reveal themselves!
